ToS Updates — October 14, 2025
We keep our policies clear and up to date. Today we added a new section to our Terms of Service to improve transparency and protect your data. Many of these points were already in our Contract Agreement. We now mirror them in the ToS for clarity and easy reference.
What changed today
- New par.8 “Operational Standards & Requirements” in Terms of Service:
- Minimum monthly average uptime of 99% commitment.
- Internet-delivery disclaimer (delays and issues beyond our control).
- Use of appropriate operating environments and notice of major changes.
- Offline Check-in App rule: if you use the app offline, connect all devices to the internet as soon as the event ends and no later than 48 hours (the “Sync Deadline”) to ensure accurate reports.
- If data isn’t synced by the Sync Deadline, or you uninstall/clear the app before confirming sync, locally stored data may be permanently lost and ER isn’t responsible for that loss.
Why this matters
These updates protect all user data and keep check-in records accurate when events run offline.

At EventReception, we remain fully compliant with the latest regulations to ensure transparency and trust. To protect our clients and their Invited Users, we’ve introduced the following updates:
- Updated Terms of Service and Privacy Policy: Clearer and updated guidelines to reflect our practices.
- Dedicated GDPR Compliance Page: A dedicated section to clarify our approach to GDPR and some of its key principles, including confirmation that individual users can input guest data into our platform without requiring explicit consent from their guests.
These updates safeguard all user data while ensuring the security of interactions between our direct clients and Invited Users accessing our platform through them.
